PRECOTE® 19-2 is a nonreactive coating that provides positive locking when no breakaway torque is required. The coating is dry, tack-free, with good adherence and can be used in all kind of assembly procedures. PRECOTE® 19-2 is used as a coating for assembly components e.g., screws and studs in cylindrical/cylindrical pairing, where controlled and high initial installation torque for adjustment is needed. PRECOTE® 19-2 can be used as securing device against the loosening through vibration or for transportation.

NYLOK® Red Nylon TORQ-PATCH® is a self-locking element comprised of nylon permanently bonded onto the threads of a fastener. When the NYLOK® Red Nylon TORQ-PATCH® is engaged, it creates a wedge between the fastener and mating part compressing the nylon and creating metal to metal contact opposite the patch. This metal to metal contact results in a positive resistance to vibration and loosening. Since nylon has great memory characteristics, this locking element can be reused several times.

Nylok® Blue Nylon Strip

Nylok® Torq-Strip® self-locking elements are permanently embedded in the threads of a fastener. When mating threads are engaged, the tough, resilient Blue nylon element is compressed and a counter-force is created to establish a much stronger contact and positive resistance to vibration and loosening.

A Nylok® Torq-Strip® self-locking element can be applied to your own fasteners, or ready-to-install self-locking fasteners can be supplied to meet your specifications. Nylok® Blue Nylon Pellet & strip is a self-locking element comprised of nylon permanently embedded into the threads of a fastener. The pellet is a drilled hole with a plug of over sized nylon wedged into the hole. The strip is a milled slot with a string of over sized nylon wedged into the slot.
